Business Development Manager
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will join the JIR-E sales and marketing team based in Ely, Cambridgeshire focussing on growing direct and distribution sales channels throughout Europe, as well as participating in global sales and marketing strategies.
Key Account Management:- Nurture relationships with major customers to ensure long term growth profitability, consistency of supply and identify new opportunities in the diagnostic and biotech market.
Distributors:- Identify and implement strategies to develop, manage and grow relationships with distribution partners in line with company objectives. Monitor and report on the performance of these strategies.
Technical Sales:- Provide solutions to new and existing customers along with scientific guidance and protocol optimisation. Follow up on sales leads generated by marketing campaigns. Present pre-recorded presentations and live webinars for remote customer outreach.
Exhibitions:- Represent the company at large international conferences (once or twice per year).
Person Specifications
open to Scientists, PHD Candidates or Experienced Commercial Scientists
3 years of practical experience in life science research (e.g. Postgraduate training) preferred
Sound understanding of business strategy
Demonstrable ability in CRM and pipeline management
Confident verbal and written communication style
Proficiency with business software – Powerpoint, Excel, video conferencing as a minimum
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Package
Base salary open to discussion
Bonus – 1000per month
