This Business Development Manager position requires a proactive and results-oriented professional who can effectively drive business growth through strategic sales efforts, client engagement, and efficient communication aswell as the individual being focussed around chromatography products on a day-to-day basis.

Our client is seeking a recent graduate in Chemistry or a related field with expereince focussed around Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry to join their team as a Business Development Manager. Our client operates as an independent sales and service company specialising in Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography. With a global presence spanning the UK, Europe, and Asia, they provide a comprehensive range of services, instruments, and consumables to diverse sectors, including pharmaceuticals, environmental sciences, forensics, life sciences, food industries, biotechnology, clinical settings, and academia.
Role Requirements
-Achieve annual sales targets to drive business growth.
-Conduct outbound calls, secure 16 weekly appointments with new/existing customers.
-Prepare timely and accurate quotes for various products and services.
-Efficiently use Goldmine CRM and manage Dropbox for communication.
-Promote and communicate diverse products and services effectively.
-Organise mini-exhibitions, participate in tenders for business acquisition.
-Utilise the sales funnel for lead management and forecasting accuracy.
-Renew contracts, find new business, and bring enthusiasm to the role.
Person Specifications
Qualifications:
-Degree or equivalent in a Science discipline.
-Strong desire to pursue a successful career in Sales.
-Full UK driving license
Experience:
-Essential experience in Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography.
Personality:
-Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Outgoing and confident with the ability to work independently.
-“Keen to learn” approach with a positive outlook.
-Comfortable and confident telephone manner for appointment making.
Package
Basic Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
Bonus: 25% Annual Commission paid quarterly
