Are you an electro-mechanical engineer with experience of commissioning and installation looking to join a growing global company?
A market leader within the healthcare water treatment and purification space is looking to add a commissioning engineer to their team.
Our client are looking to add an engineer to their team in a UK-wide commissioning role. Working across their exciting range of water-treatment equipment, you will receive full OEM training in addition to the extensive benefits package outlined below.
Role Requirements
The role of the Commissioning Engineer is to work as part of a multi discipline team of Engineers, Technicians and Vendors, in the preparation and execution of commissioning activities in order to deliver Process & utility systems to Clients in accordance with the project technical standards and schedule
The Commissioning Engineer shall operate across the UK to:
· Assist the tendering/design team gathering technical information to support the development of technical and commercial offerings.
· Be responsible for the commissioning of new and existing equipment, this may include undertaking the activity personally or the supervision of contractors and checking of the work undertaken by other parties ensuring the project technical specifications are met.
· Provide technical expertise during start-up, commissioning and/or process troubleshooting related to the companies water and wastewater treatment systems
The Commissioning Engineer:
· Will support the handover of water treatment equipment and systems from Mechanical Completion through to System Handover in line with the contract requirements.
· Will have an input into design documents including, control philosophy, design risk assessments, commissioning plans, Risk Assessment/Method Statements and O&M manuals
· Will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the Process Commissioning activities associated with the assigned projects.
· Will assist in managing the Commissioning scope in line with the agreed schedule ensuring sufficient resources and equipment are available to execute the scope within the agreed timeline.
· Will coordinate and attend meetings, prepare minutes and reports as well as develop processes and procedures to ensure that the progress of commissioning is effectively managed and communicated to the rest of the project team.
· Will contribute to project execution as appropriate, especially in helping to minimise and control any changes towards completion, commissioning and handover.
Person Specifications
· Proven experience of working as a Process Engineer/Commissioning Engineer.
· Electrical background- level 3 or above qualification
· Flexible with travel and staying away – could be staying away between 1-3 weeks at a time anywhere in the UK
· Ability to quickly troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex problems.
· Customer service mindset
· Flexible and organised and able plan resources to meet customer expectations.
· Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
· Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
· A professional attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Able to work under pressure and work to deadlines.
· Ability to work on multiple assignments
· Able to work methodically through problems and find solutions.
· Ideally -experience in wastewater / waste process industry projects
