Company Information

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Field Service Engineer that has arisen with a leading OEM in the healthcare and scientific industry due to a retirement in the team! They are looking for an Engineer based in Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Role Requirements

– Performing scheduled preventive services and validation tests according to the Industry Standards
– Perform the Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification procedures to check everything is installed and working correctly
– Train the operators to use the machines correctly and train the hospital engineers to maintain the machines to a basic level
– Fix issues that arise on site or via the service administration team and order spare parts as necessary
– Submit relevant service reports on time
– Manage the customer relationships and act as the representative at the customer site

Person Specifications

You will be a real ‘team player’, someone who is committed to going the extra mile when required and supporting your team. In addition, you will have a customer focused attitude, as well as excellent problem solving and communication skills.

– Full & valid UK driving licence.
– Solid mechanical experience, as well as City & Guilds Inspection and Testing or and equivalent electrical training (desirable with 18th edition)
– Experience in the healthcare sector would be desirable
– One or more valid certifications in the Testing of Sterilizers and Washer Disinfectors (WTM1, STM2, STM3) are an essential requirement
– Understanding of industry regulations and technical drawings/product design
– Flexibility around occasional non-standard hours and overnight stays
