Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
Repairs, calibrates, maintains and validates monitoring equipment and instrumentation used in health care and medical research field by performing the following duties.
Overnight stays Monday-Friday – some times they can be home every night, sometimes large projects.
80% during the week overnight stays
More project -based, occasional service calls for breakdowns e.g. as they are critical monitoring systems.
Most are installation, PM or validation projects.
Labs – NHS hospitals blood banks, morgues, pharma and biotech companies, clean rooms.
Need to be ok to work at heights.

For 40 years, This company has been the most compliant continuous environmental monitoring system in the industry. Their system can monitor the temperature of any storage from +1300 to -196 °C. We monitor critical equipment such as stability chambers, refrigerators, freezers, LN2 Tanks, incubators, animal holding rooms, ultra-low freezers, cold rooms and clean rooms. Their systems monitor parameters such as temperature, humidity, differential pressure, lighting control, carbon dioxide, oxygen, light and air changes per hour.
Role Requirements
Installs technical equipment in medical and research facilities.
Inspects, repairs, calibrates, maintains and validates electrical, mechanical and network equipment following manufacturers’ specifications, using test and analysis instruments
Maintains inventory of parts issued.
Modifies or develops instruments or devices, under supervision of the engineering staff.
Conducts training on correct operation of equipment to customers.
Organize installations of systems according to the engineer and project manager specifications.
Serve as Lead on specific installation assignments

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five to six year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, specifically in security HVAC, electrical and network systems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
