Field Service Engineer
Role Overview

Role Requirements
· Carry out and have experience of Field Service work including commissioning, calibration, repair and routine maintenance on a wide variety of our customer sites but preferably within Power, Potable Water, Life Sciences & Industrial Markets.
· Experience of site procedures and working practices would be advantageous including accepting, suspending and clearing work permits.
· Experience of writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Carry out in-house repairs and calibrations as required.
· To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and all work undertaken to be carried out within the company Health & Safety guidelines.
· Keep and maintain spares inventory in company vehicle for non-contract use
· Ensure that Safety Passport, EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card) & IOSH Managing Safely etc are kept up to date.
· Provision of telephone and email support in response to our customers technical queries
Person Specifications
· Ideally 3 – 5 years successful experience as a service technician or 3 – 5 years’ experience within an analytical instrumentation/calibration role
· Experience with servicing and calibration of analytical instrumentation is preferred
· Full, valid, clean driving licence and ability to travel UK wide
· Problem solving and diagnostic skills
· Service mentality, customer focus
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Self-motivated and a flexible approach to working activities
