Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
This position involves providing a professional suite of laboratory services to clients in the life sciences industry, including pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, genomics, contract research organizations (CROs), and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
The comprehensive range of services includes laboratory consulting, instrumentation repair and maintenance, full asset management, and more-covering the entire spectrum of life sciences facilities.

Role Requirements
Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, calibrate, and maintain specialized equipment, systems, and controls, with an emphasis on Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS).
Utilize test equipment such as multimeters, frequency generators, counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes, and oscilloscopes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during unscheduled maintenance work.
Communicate with customer staff and contractors regarding equipment calibration, repair, and operation.
Develop equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
Person Specifications
· Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Appropriate licenses or certifications required by law.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
· Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
o Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
o Intermediate math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and other financial figures.
o Experience with analyzing information and applying standard practices to problem-solving.
