Looking for a new opportunity to make an impact in the world of Digital Dentistry with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Digital Dentistry solutions?

Do you currently work in IT and are looking for the next step up as a field service engineer in the dental industry?

The company are recruiting a field technician to cover the Midlands, supporting our independent dealers and customers with installation, servicing, remote testing/support, calibration and repairs of our portfolio of dental equipment.

There will be regular/daily travel throughout Midlands and travel and overnight stays may be required. You will be given extensive training and ongoing remote support.

Role Requirements

· Maintain accurate records and essential management of allocated spare parts stock
· Keep up to date with current computer technology (hardware and software) as far as necessary and relevant for this function
· Remotely assist and guide equipment repair via phone support to the end user
· Provide remote support via online access to the customer system
· Complete the appropriate service & certification documentation in a precise and timely manner
· Carry out customer training on equipment operation during installation
· Liaise with customers to ascertain their requirements
· Interpret computer aided design drawings for customer projects and installations

Person Specifications

· Experience and understanding of SQL server
· A good understanding of mechanical and pneumatic engineering
· Ability to read and understand computer aided design drawings
· A can-do attitude and a logical approach to problem solving
· Some knowledge of products in the dental and/or medical industry
· The ability to communicate at all levels within a customer’s operation
· Excellent time management skills whilst simultaneously achieving high level of quality and productivity
· A high level of computer literacy
