Role Overview
Clinical Diagnostics Field Service Engineer, products used in NHS pathology laboratories – Involved with service, fault finding, repair & maintenance.
A great opportunity for a Service Engineer with experience working on clinical diagnostics, scientific laboratory equipment or medical devices instrumentation to join a growing and innovative global company in this sector.
The company will also consider applicants with an electronics qualification and Field Service experience, looking to move into the healthcare sector. Servicing experience from areas such as: semiconductors, armed forces, trams, rail, high volume manufacturing, wind turbines, oil rigs, aerospace, aviation will be considered.
Role Requirements
TERRITORY: Based out of North East England traveling across the UK
PRODUCTS: Clinical Diagnostic Instrumentation used in oncology, diabetes testing, haemoglobin disorders
CLIENTS: NHS laboratories and private pathology laboratories
Main Responsibilities
– Field service repair and routine maintenance in accordance with written procedures and support of associated I.T systems.
– Service orientated and provided excellent customer support.
– Provide any relevant customer feedback to the sales team.
– Manage effective stock control
– Assist sales team with demonstrations and commissioning as required.
– Provide repair and technical support service for all equipment on demonstration as required by the sales department.
– To provide customer training.
Person Specifications
Person Specification
Good electronic and electro-mechanical experience.
Servicing experience within the clinical diagnostics/IVD, laboratory equipment or medical devices industry preferred but not essential
C & G, BTEC, ONC, HNC or other appropriate electronics qualifications.
The company will also consider applicants with an electronics qualification and Field Service experience, looking to move into the healthcare sector. Servicing experience from areas such as: semiconductors, trams, armed forces, rail, high volume manufacturing, wind turbines, oil rigs, aerospace, aviation will be considered.
Need to travel and stay away from home as required, could be at short notice. This must be considered as part of the job.
