Field Service Engineer

The client we are currently partnered with an independent partner company of the KARL STORZ Group. They are a medical technology manufacturer located in the heart of Europe, on the Swiss shore of Lake Constance in Tägerwilen, and they develop innovative shock wave systems and shock wave devices of the highest precision. Our client is the leading supplier for extracorporeal shock waves lithotripsy systems in the UK.
Role Requirements
Maintenance and service of Lithotripter, X-ray and ultrasound systems.
Installation of new systems / decommissioning of old systems.
Provision of comprehensive clinical application training to urologists and clinical staff.
Maintain frequent communication with all customers.
Work directly with customers, hospital operating room staff, clinical engineers and area sales managers on the sales and implementation of equipment.
Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
Follow proper workflow management on all relevant procedures such as computer work, paperwork, and documentation submission in a correct and timely manner.
Update staff and company on all patient incidents by phone and email for proper investigation.
Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the job and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.

Person Specifications
Qualified Technician/ Engineer or equivalent professional experience in medical devices,
Advantageous: relevant Field Service experience
Technical analytical skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, high work standards and quality
Customer-oriented attitude; deals tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion, excellent listening and interpersonal skills
Experience working on large capital medical equipment in a hospital environment
X-Ray service experience strongly preferred
3 to 5 years medical service experience preferred
Diagnostic Imaging or Biomed experience preferred
Agile and adept Microsoft Windows user with strong working knowledge of connectivity and directory structure
Basic familiarity with computer hardware repair at the subassembly level
Must be able to interface directly with operating room staff, clinical engineers, and sales managers
Experience in the area of Urology would be beneficial
Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Must have a valid passport or be able to obtain one
Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time, both domestically and on request internationally
Must be able to frequently lift to 80lbs
Must be able to work in both a maintenance environment and hospital facility
Must be able to backup other territories when needed

Package
£38,000 – 45,000 (Salary Dependent on experience)
Additional service training in Swiss headquarters
Annual bonus, depending on personal performance
