We are excited to announce an opening for a Lead Field Service Engineer specialising in mass spectrometer and liquid chromatography systems. Our client, a leader in analytical instrumentation, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join their expanding team. This role involves extensive travel across Europe with a competitive package and the opportunity to develop your technical and leadership skills.
Role Requirements
· Develop and maintain familiarity with customer procedures for contract equipment maintenance
· Perform maintenance, repair, and calibration of both contract and non-contract instruments, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards
· Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, completing all scheduled work in a timely manner
· Timely and accurate completion of all necessary service documentation, including service reports, equipment calibration data, system profiles, and expense reports
· Maintain a valid driver’s license and ensure the upkeep of a comprehensive supplied tool kit
· Contain costs by adhering to all safety policies and procedures and working efficiently
· Maintain compliance with customer documentation requirements, including PM checklists and logbooks
Person Specifications
· Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge in the service and repair of mass spectrometer and liquid chromatography systems down to the board level
· Customer Relations: Strong understanding and experience in customer relationship management, with the ability to communicate effectively throughout the service delivery process.
Package
· Competitive Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 depending on experience
