Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing scientific company who are looking to hire a Field Service Engineer within their UK team.
This role will be covering Midlands / South region, involved with the service, repair, maintenance and installation of a range of analytical laboratory equipment.
We are looking for candidates from an engineering background with experience working with analytical devices or someone from an end user background who is looking to move into a field service engineer role and has experience troubleshooting similar devices.
Role Requirements
· Laboratory instrument maintenance delivery (LC, GC, MS, gas generation systems)
· Technical problem solving
· Systems qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and quality documentation
· Identify and report sales opportunities
· Support Technical Management in achieving performance objectives
Person Specifications
· Multi-vendor LC/GC/MS laboratory service experience, preferably including LC-MS
· Proven track record in a laboratory instrument support environment
· Science degree preferred
· Understanding of validation and quality documentation
· High level of IT literacy
· Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
· Team player, able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
· Willingness to travel to customers in the UK and overseas
· Full driving licence
· Knowledge of a Field Service Engineer day to day duties
We are looking for candidates with proven instrumentation service expertise, ideally:
· HPLC and UPLC
· GC and GC-MS
· LC-MS
· Validation including IQ, OQ and PQ in regulated laboratories
We would look favourably upon:
· Candidates from manufacturers (Agilent, Thermo, Waters, Shimadzu etc.)
· Candidates from independent instrument service providers.
