Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
As a field service engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical service and support around diagnostic equipment (Immunodiagnostic/Molecular Diagnostic) to customers via phone and via site visits around Cambridge, Stevenage, Chelmsford and connected territories.

Our client is a global leader in the laboratory diagnostics market, specialising in the immunodiagnostics and molecular diagnostics segments who are currently looking to onboard a Field Service Engineer to join their team.
Role Requirements
-Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults on-site
-Complete preventative maintenance
-Install necessary upgrades to ensure instrument performance
-Provide first-level engineering support for instrument installation and decommissioning.
-Support instrument interfacing with laboratory computer systems.
Person Specifications
-Bachelor’s degree or relevant engineering qualification preferred (Level 3, HNC/HND).
-At least 2 years of experience as a field service engineer in a medical setting or as a medical lab technician with strong engineering skills; experience with complex electro-mechanical equipment in regulated industries is also acceptable.
-Strong interest and ability in practical electromechanical engineering is essential, ideally with an engineering qualification.
-Short notice travel within the UK is needed, primarily in your region but occasionally nationwide and to Ireland; some overseas travel for training may be required.
Package
-Base salary up to £47,000 depending on experience level
-Bonus up to 10% of base salary
-Company Car
-Pension scheme – employer contributes up to 12% of base salary
-No overtime or on call
