As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-tech decontamination equipment, including Steam Sterilisers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, and Steam Generation Plants. Your role will involve service, repair, and maintenance of this vital equipment, making a crucial contribution to the seamless operation of cutting-edge technologies in critical sectors.
This position requires regional travel, with occasional nationwide travel as needed. The successful candidate will be home-based, but regular time away from home is to be expected.
Role Requirements
Perform service, repair, and maintenance on a wide range of decontamination equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of equipment.
Work across various industries, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and research.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring equipment is maintained in peak condition.
Travel regularly within the region, with occasional nationwide visits.
Person Specifications
Apprenticeship-trained or Skilled by Experience: You’ll have a strong electrical engineering background, with expertise in switchgear, panel wiring, 3-phase motors, and low voltage circuits.
Relevant Qualifications: CPD or HTM qualifications
Industry Experience: Significant experience with automated systems, steam, compressors, pumps, or related industries.
Strong Communication Skills: You’ll be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and familiar with working in an ISO registered environment.
Organisational Excellence: Outstanding time management and organisational skills to handle multiple priorities.
Self-Motivated and Adaptable: Able to work independently, yet also thrive in collaborative environments.
Full Clean Driving License: Essential for travel requirements.
Package
– Up to £45k dependant on experience
– Company vehicle provided (van or a car estate)
– Bonus of £1250 a year
– 23 days + BH – that can go up: year 3 – 25, then 5 years – 26 then 10 years – 28 days
– Death in service
– Evening meals – £25
– Lunch – £5 per day
– Pension 3% Employer and 5% Employee
– Initial and ongoing product and self-improvement training programmes
