Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
As a Service Engineer, the successful candidate will take on a pivotal role, primarily focused on servicing, repairing, and installing cutting-edge Liquid and Gas Chromatography equipment from a range of manufacturers including Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu and Jasco to name a few.
With such a steady and strong incline in business, they are looking at internal promotions all the way to director level in the next 5 years so this is a critical time to get involved… there is also a route for those looking to move into a technical specialist role!
We are looking specifically for engineers with experience working on both LC and GC (HPLC or MS is an even bigger bonus!)

We’re currently partnered with a renowned and reputable chromatography distributor who have seen substantial growth over the last 12 months – they have seen a 7% increase in service contracts from the 1st of January alone, it’s absolutely brilliant. We are looking for an exceptional field service engineer to join their team and take the lead on contracts in Watford, St Albans and occasionally Nottingham.
Role Requirements
· Installation, repairs, validation qualifications and redeployment of instrumentation within analytical laboratories in accordance with the approved procedures carried out in a timely, efficient manner reflecting accurately the work completed.
· Provide a high-quality service and support to our customers, engage and maintain a solid relationship with our customers and keeping up with their expectations. Customer oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Can identify issues, diagnose faults, provide relevant solutions, work independently, take initiative and prioritise work.
· Must always wear provided uniform. Must take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who could be affected by their acts or omissions. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Must undertake training and refresher training as and when required.
