Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
We have a brand new opportunity with a leading manufacturer in life science instrumentation who are looking for a field service engineer to join their team! Working on their cold storage and refrigeration units, the role will include the servicing, repairs and diagnostics of the equipment as well as dealing with the customers on site.
Role Requirements
·Working with Service Manager to plan, coordinate and execute service visits for PAT Testing, Equipment Checks, Installations, Delivery of large items requiring specialist installation and training at customer sites.
·Execute customer repairs both as field service visits and return to base repairs. Ensure that all details of repairs are recorded, and final reports sent to the customers in a professional and timely manner.
·Ensure all works performed are recorded and reported as required by the Service team in keeping with the in-house procedures defined by the company.
·Providing customers with technical support and troubleshooting assistance both in the field and over the telephone or remote PC connections.
·To provide product training in all the products that we sell.
·To provide this training to both staff members and customers in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Training should be recorded and documented.
Person Specifications
·An ability and willingness to travel within the UK and overseas to support our distribution network.
·A valid UK driving license and passport is required.
·Must be able to build and maintain key relationships across multiple levels within the organisation as well as with customers and key suppliers.
·Must have the ISO 17025 accreditation certificate.
·Experience is required in any refrigeration or cold storage industry.
