Role Requirements
Field Service Engineer
Reporting to: UK Sales and Service Manager
Location: UK field-based role which focuses mainly on sites in Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham. (Very occasional travel to Ireland & Germany).
– Installation and ongoing maintenance of complex electro-mechanical and computer-controlled systems.
– Establishing and maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction and confidence by appropriate actions and attitude.
– You will be responsible for the Installation, maintenance, and repairs across a wide range of product technologies including, but not limited to: Benchtop X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Handheld XRF, Handheld LIBS, Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES), Coatings XRF and Thermal Analysis instrumentation.
Person Specifications
– HNC/HND in Engineering (Electronic or Electrical) or equivalent experience in a field-based role. (The HNC/HND requirement is desirable, not essential).
– Educated to Modern Apprenticeship/HNC standard in a relevant engineering discipline.
– Experience of dealing with customers, testing complex electro – mechanical systems and their customer applications.
– Analytical instrument or similar systems experience in the following: Troubleshooting /Repairing / testing, in field and in house service workshop.
– Willingness to travel and stay overnight (number of overnight stays will vary from week to week).
– Full UK driving licence with the right to work in the UK.
Package
Salary: up to £42000, company car, fuel allowance or fuel card
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days, and after 5 years of service 26 days.
