Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
We have a new, exciting opportunity for a position working as a field service engineer. Thriving in the life science industry, our client are currently working on a number of contracts based in the Midlands region and are keen to add an experienced engineer to their team covering Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and surrounding areas.
Role Requirements
Performing service activities on instruments and equipment as requested or initiated
Provides service support on the client’s portfolio which includes but is not limited to installation, IQ/OQ, preventive maintenance, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, adjustments, calibrations, alignments and part replacement.
Adhering to service manuals, technical procedures and direction while properly documenting and managing work activity, time recording and quality documents in-house, on-site at customer facilities or over the phone as required.
Demonstrating a positive can-do professional image and attitude in front of customers and colleagues always.
Good customer facing and customer relationship building skills.
Person Specifications
F-Gas & Hydrocarbon certification (or would like to obtain this).
Have a technical education and at least 3 years of working experience as a customer support/field engineer.
Good electrical and mechanical skills.
Knowledge of repair and maintenance of equipment such as freezers, centrifuges, incubators and other laboratory equipment would be an advantage.
Strong understanding of MS Windows operating systems.
Valid UK driving license and flexible in terms of overnight stays.
