We have an exciting new opportunity with an OEM that has over 40 years’ experience designing laboratory instrumentation and scientific methods for both microwave and non-microwave technologies that are used by major companies, prestigious research institutes, and universities around the world.

Role Requirements

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
· Expert Technical Support: Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on our diverse product portfolio, utilizing your strong technical knowledge to handle electronic equipment with precision.
· Customer Excellence: Maintain professional and friendly relationships with both our valued staff and customers. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing knowledgeable answers and assistance.
· Equipment Care: Execute preventative maintenance on all equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation, contributing to our commitment to quality.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with our in-house team to assist in the repair of equipment, including demonstration units, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
· Travel Management: Take charge of your travel arrangements while in the field and communicate effectively with customers to manage any potential delays.

Person Specifications

· Field Service Expertise: Demonstrated field service engineering experience with a deep understanding of electromechanical equipment.
· Eligibility: Legal eligibility to work in the UK, along with a valid UK driving license.
· Technical Proficiency: Technical competence in using laboratory equipment is advantageous, and knowledge of general laboratory safety is mandatory.
· Science Background: Familiarity with chemistry or biochemistry is a plus, demonstrating your ability to understand and support our specialized products.
· Proactive and Enthusiastic: An outgoing, determined, self-motivated, and enthusiastic approach, complemented by your ability to thrive in a team environment.
· Strong Communication: Confident communication skills, and the ability to devise and implement action-based plans to meet customer needs.
· Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing learning and development, with specific product training provided regularly and formal training sessions at least every two years.
