We have a new and exciting opportunity with a leading service provider in the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry space who are looking for an experienced field service engineer to join their team in the Midlands. Following the win of some high value contracts in the area, our client is keen to bring someone on board to provide a specialist support service on Liquid and Gas Chromatography instrumentation from a range of manufacturers such as Agilent, Waters, Jasco, Shimadzu, PerkinElmer and Thermo.

Role Requirements

·Installation, repairs, validation qualifications and redeployment of instrumentation within analytical laboratories in accordance with the approved procedures carried out in a timely, efficient manner reflecting accurately the work completed.

·Provide a high-quality service and support to our customers, engage and maintain a solid relationship with our customers and keeping up with their expectations. Customer oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·Can identify issues, diagnose faults, provide relevant solutions, work independently, take initiative and prioritise work.

·Must always wear provided uniform. Must take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who could be affected by their acts or omissions. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

·Must undertake training and refresher training as and when required.

Person Specifications

·Degree/HND/HNC level or equivalent is preferred but not required in Analytical Sciences or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

·Experience in chromatography instrumentation support; either in an engineering or laboratory-based role is ideal (LCMS, GCMS, HPLC).
