Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring their customers receive best-in-class support for their diagnostic equipment. From installations and upgrades to troubleshooting and servicing, you’ll help keep essential immunodiagnostic systems running smoothly — directly impacting patient care and lab performance.

Role Requirements
– Travel across Scotland to support customers with: Equipment installations, validations, servicing, repairs, relocations, and decommissions
– Proactively manage your schedule to deliver responsive and efficient support
– Prioritise tasks to ensure smooth operation of labs in your assigned area
– Perform system upgrades and site surveys with a strong customer-first approach
– Collaborate with fellow engineers to ensure team success
– Maintain your technical edge through regular training
– Manage your spare parts stock effectively
Person Specifications
Experience working with diagnostic or scientific equipment such as:
– Immunology/diagnostics instruments
– Medical imaging systems
– Life science or pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
– Chromatography/Mass Spec instruments
– Ventilators, anaesthesia machines, or similar technologies
Bonus Skills:
– Familiarity with NHS labs and their workflows
– Networking and hardware troubleshooting
– Ability to work flexibly, independently, and under pressure
– Strong communicator and team player
– High energy and a customer-focused mindset
– Willingness to travel across territory and occasionally beyond
