Flow Cytometry Field Service Engineer

Great opportunity with one of the largest global medical diagnostics technology companies!
You will be part of a regional team of Field Service Engineers, reporting directly to the area technical manager.
Products include: Cell analysers, Sample Preparation Automation and Flow Cytometry Instrumentation used in hospital and medical research laboratories.
Your region will predominately cover London and Home Counties with occasional national travel
This role is suitable for an applicant with a formal engineering qualification and experience working with high-end electro-mechanical scientific or medical devices equipment, robotics, automation or telecoms.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues
· Carry out preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs and corrective field change orders
· Diagnosing electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software and laser failures using established procedures and techniques.
· Determine the most cost-effective repair/solution to ensure minimum downtime.
· Perform instrument certifications (IQ/OQ).
· Effective management of technical escalations.
· Works toward service metrics as defined by the Service Organization

Person Specification
· HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, or extensive relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer
· Experience working in the Telecoms, Robotics, Automation, Medical Devices industries
· The ability to process knowledge across multi-modular and diverse product ranges
· Recognize new technologies and adapts to daily challenges
· Deliver high levels of customer service
· Competent in IT
· Full UK driving licence
· Currently living within a daily commutable distance of Central London, ideally around the NE London area.
