Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee/Graduate for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established market leader in the Dental Industry which has built its reputation on delivering a first-class service to their client’s needs, combined with long lasting client relationships, focusing on installing and maintaining hardware, operating systems and software programs combined with a first class after sales service.

This position is due to growth within the business and are looking for an individual who will become client-driven and enjoys working for an organisation that requires a direct approach and flexibility to the core day to day responsibilities but also the tenacity to learn the large and varied product range with the support of the team around them.

Role Requirements

• Installing and maintaining hardware, operating systems, and software programs
• Troubleshooting and solving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Educating end-users about new systems
• Assisting senior engineers by taking care of the basic’s tasks like installations and preparation
• Responding to callouts in a professional manner by arriving on time and working on an issue until its resolved
• As and when required carryout site meeting prior to new equipment installation
• Manage and monitor workshop repairs
• Reporting to the Service Manager /Coordinator daily. To actively promote and sell service, spare parts and sundry materials generating new business and expanding existing business.
• With the service managers agreement implement a personal training development programme with manufacturer.
• Understand our customers business, key objectives. Update the sales department of any potential sales leads.
• Visit the manufacture’s factory in Germany and the UK for technical training
• Have a comprehensive understanding of your brand and product range, market and competitors’ products and positioning.

Person Specifications

• Looking for someone recently left college or university with an engineering aptitude who is looking to progress a career in Digital Dentistry
• Living locally to Chertsey Surrey
• 2 years working or studying within an engineering environment
• Knowledge of best working practices
• Proficient and comfortable using technology.
• Excelling at relationship building
• Excellent communication skills
• Full driving licence, willingness to travel
