Role Overview
The role is a hybrid position consisting of proactive business development and account management.
Company Information
Zenopa are working exclusively with a well-established, global , independent scientific and medical publisher who are seeking to recruit a Healthcare Publications Developer with around 5 years experience. This is essentially a knowledge based business development role for the companies medical education offering (selling books, podcasts, eLearning and animation etc ).
The role exists due to internal promotions and growth.
Their offices are based in Abingdon, but the role is completely remote, so would suit someone content with this set up and good at structuring their own day (with plenty of remote support from the team).
There is some travel in the role – around 4 conferences per year, plus any client meetings (most are virtual).
They publish around 20 titles per year, lots of interactive e-learning , KOLs interview ‘talking heads’ videos, interactive artwork , scientific agendas , writing book chapters etc.
This is for both clinical and patient led content.
You will be joining a small team in the UK who are part of the wider company based in Basel.
They are a friendly bunch who operate a low pressure environment in terms of work load, so work / life balance is good.
9-5pm are the core business hours but flexible/ agile working is available and there is no regular requirement to come to an office unless you would like to.
Role Requirements
Business Development
Seek out potential sales leads (product managers, medical affairs managers etc.) for existing and bespoke HCM resources across multiple territories
Accountant Management
-Act as the main point of contact for assigned key customers and ensure high standards of communication are always maintained
-Appropriately brief editorial staff for content outlines for bespoke projects
-Develop accurate and well-written project proposals and grant requests for bespoke projects
-Work collaboratively with editorial and production staff to ensure projects are delivered on brief, to budget and on schedule
-Deliver on pre-agreed KPIs
Person Specifications
The ideal candidate would need to have sales experience with interacting with pharmaceutical companies to secure funding to create medical education programs and ideally an existing network of contacts. This could be gained from medical publishing, medical communication or med affairs.

28 days annual leave +BHs
4% commission on all sales, uncapped.
