Role Overview
Location – Based at home. The Installation Engineer will be required to travel to client sites across Cambridge & the surrounding areas. It is anticipated that in this position there may be occasional nights spent away for training purposes or in support of other engineers.

Role Requirements
Carry out installation work for capital equipment supplied by the client. Attend machines or sites as requested by the Technical Manager to undertake the assessment of removal or placement of equipment
Provide advice to potential clients on site and if necessary, carry out site surveys
Advise clients on utilities/services required for machine operation, installation, and applications.
Attend machines or sites as requested by the Technical Manager to undertake the assessment of ongoing installation problems and/or carrying out an investigation into the problems and/or carry out the necessary work to resolve the machine(s).
Undertake and/or supervise and/or manage the site work required to deal with product installations and where necessary product upgrades, modifications, safety recalls, etc, when required to do so in support of the Technical Manager.
Will be prepared to take on the normal duties of a Service Engineer i.e. servicing, repairs, etc. when not undertaking installation work.
Provide phone assistance, advice and assessment of client installation queries by telephone when required.
Record installation queries and responses in reports, etc. and if required on the Service/Company database(s)
Complete Job Reports in a timely manner
Complete company administrative forms
Person Specifications
Engineering qualification (HNC/HND) preferred
Qualification in electrical installation or electrical engineering. Qualified to current edition IEE wiring regulations and C&G Test Persons Certification would be advantageous.
The Installation Engineer may be required to attend additional training to meet business needs and is expected to be willing to develop their own professional skills. Ability to approach work in a methodical and organised manner. Ability to work on own initiative within given guidelines.
