PRODUCTS: Chromatography columns and consumables (HPLC, GC, Sample Preparation)
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Pharmaceutical, Industrial Laboratories
TERRITORY: Remote based
We have a position for a full time Internal Account Manager within our Sales Team, based at home.
Role Requirements
Job Purpose
To achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration in an assigned territory in line with company targets.
To effectively sell the company’s products and services.
To manage existing business and secure new business.
To effectively work with other Account Managers and the Technical BD Team.
Reports to the National Sales Manager and is supported by a Regional Team Leader.
Promotes and sells to existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
Recommends products and services to existing and potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Consistently delivers excellent customer service and aftercare.
Specific Responsibilities
-Complies with all regulatory and company requirements in relation to Quality, Health and Safety as is appropriate to the role.
-Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and new customers to generate sales for the organization’s products and services.
-Makes telephone calls and uses email communication with existing and prospective customers. Performs field visits with customers 2-3 times a quarter.
-Prospects for new customers and researches for information to determine their potential.
-Closes own sales as well as those generated by other members of the Sales,Technical BD and Technical Teams
-Produces clear and effectively written email communications, sales proposals & quotations.
-Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints and supports the customer through the process.
-Coordinates sales activity with the Marketing Team, Regional Team Leader, National Sales Manager, Technical Business Development Specialists and Technical Support Team to deliver additional sales focus for key product lines.
-Provides the Management Team with weekly feedback on commercial activities, customer feedback and industry updates.
-Forms a network of contacts within our industry and uses company approved social media to create awareness.
-Participates in exhibitions and other customer facing events.
-Adheres to customer service and all other company policies and procedures.
-Updates CRM and other sales tools regularly with customer related information and opportunities.
-Produces a sales forecast for the current month and current quarter via the CRM.
Person Specifications
Experience & qualifications required
-Chromatography background to BSc degree level, or experience in a chromatography Lab or experience in the chromatography market-place.
-Sales experience or aptitude for a sales role.
