Role Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading life science company who is looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join their team.

This would suit a recently qualified engineer with a level 3+ qualification, ideally with 1 years’ experience looking to progress his/hers career in a scientific environment.

Role Requirements

· Carry out servicing, calibration and qualification of Ultra Low Temperature Freezers at laboratory sites throughout the UK. Mainly London & SE.
· Keeping essential van stock in balance
· Maintain direct communication with customer for the duration of job
· Be flexible for overnight stays, sometimes at short notice
· Report to the Field Service Manager

Person Specifications

· HNC / HND qualified with 1 year experience in a hands on engineering role
· Willingness to travel in and around London regular
· Valid UK driving license
· A friendly & helpful personality with good customer skills
· Knowledge of a laboratory environment and standards would be an advantage
· Ability to work alone and unsupervised for long periods
· Able to complete documentation accurately and on time
· Some experience as a field technician preferred
· Good electrical and mechanical skills
· Confident with Microsoft office & Apple applications
· Good communication skills
