Junior Service Engineer
Role Overview
Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will work closely with the Field Operations and Parts & Logistics teams to support internal and external customers. This customer facing role is critical to maintaining and enhancing our client’s reputation as a successful and ambitious business.

Zenopa are delighted to be working with a market leading supplier in the pharmaceutical industry to recruit for a Junior Engineer. Having been established for over 30 years, our client supplies process manufacturing equipment to leading pharmaceutical manufacturers across the UK and Ireland.
Role Requirements
– Perform technical and administrative tasks as instructed by the Technical Support Manager.
– Provide practical on-site support to the Engineering Team.
– Under guidance, perform basic servicing, calibration and information gathering activities on customer sites
– Day to day care of the site work equipment e.g. receive and prepare for shipping, perform regular inspections, safety tests, cleaning, make repairs and identify the need for replacement parts and calibration
– Keep the site work equipment register up to date and liaise with site work administrators and job owners to ensure equipment is ready and available for use on site
– Provide cover for the technical helpdesk as and when requested by the Technical Support Manager
– Create of risk assessments and method statements, when necessary, in support of sitework activities
– Proactively perform day to day activities required to ensure best upkeep of the technical Centre (e.g. check operation / condition of equipment, prepare for engineering / testing works, maintain tidiness, etc.
– Provide support to any area of the business to enhance overall knowledge and skillset.
Person Specifications
– An engineering, technology, or science qualification (Level 4, HND or equivalent) would be advantageous but not essential
– An understanding of basic controls technology, basic mechanical engineering and/or electrical engineering.
– Flexibility to travel throughout UK, Ireland and Italy as required
– Valid UK driving licence is essential
– Knowledge of sterile process technology and pharmaceutical industry (desirable).
– Previous industrial experience
– Excellent written and spoken English & communication skills
– Excellent time management and organisation skills
– Able to demonstrate proficiency with commonly used computer programs including MS – Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, (working experience of CAD packages would be useful)
– A keen interest in technology and engineering
