Key Account Manager
Role Overview
· Reporting into the Anti-Infective Team Business Manager, this role will be responsible for working with key stakeholder leaders in the NHS (such as infectious disease, healthcare for the elderly) across the East / West Midlands to develop the usage of my clients Anti-Infective product as a relevant therapy that helps the NHS to achieve its aims

Our specific focus on the digestive system means we have in-depth knowledge of the challenges that gastroenterologists and hepatologists face on a daily basis. It also helps us look for innovative ways to improve care and quality of life for the 5-6 million people who live with inflammatory bowel diseases worldwide.
Role Requirements
· Creating and delivering on a business plan for your territory that promotes and embeds the usage of the product across your territory
· Identifying and building relationships with relevant stakeholders, building your knowledge of their challenges and aims
· Promoting the clients products to payor organizations in the NHS
· Promoting the clients products to commercial firms / organisations involved in commissioning or provision of prescribing advice / services to the NHS
· To remove barriers to access to the clients products in primary and secondary care, this includes:
· Building an understanding of the key drivers of the organisations within the NHS within your region so that you can demonstrate how the usage of the product will help them achieve their goals
· Education of key stakeholders around the usage of the product
· Ensuring the clients products are appropriately listed on local and regional formularies (in accordance with indications and guidelines)
· Negotiation / agreement of supply contracts
· Placement / agreement of joint working initiatives
· Negotiation of Care Pathway design / service redesign
· To take ownership of the planning and prioritization for your region
o Co-ordinate regional activities such as:
§ Setting / agreeing business plans and objectives
§ targeting
§ coverage and frequency of KOLs
§ local promotional budget expenditure / investment
Person Specifications
· Significant experience in pharmaceutical / medical sales within infectious diseases or a related area.
· A foundation in and proven results in Market Access, demonstrating that you are able to influence long term strategy of the NHS would be required this role
· Experience of networking proficiently with key decision makers involved in primary care networks and integrated care systems.
· Practical knowledge of the NHS and navigating senior stakeholders, influencing long term patient management strategy.
· Experience of creating and implementing a successful and long lasting regional strategy is key to the success of the role.
· Demonstrate ability to implement projects at NHS Stakeholder level
· ABPI qualified
· Degree level or similar qualifications, ideally life science and or business
