They are one of the world’s largest providers of analytical instrumentation and equipment and have a large UK team of sales specialists, technical specialists, service engineers, marketing and office-based support staff! Role Requirements

Role responsibilities:
– Drive the continued growth of this product line, establish customer needs and potential challenges via a consultative approach.
– Manage the entire sales process in LC-MS/MS and MALDI opportunities, from initial contact, determining customer requirements, technical discussions within the demo process, through to the close of a project.
– Although primarily a technical sales role, it also requires technical expertise with LC-MS/MS and quantitative or qualitative mass spectrometry to interact with leading experts on a peer-to-peer basis.
– Support the pre and post sales process to help the company achieve and exceed the sales targets for the LC/LCMS and MALDI product lines
– Present the company as the leading analytical solution provider at external meetings.
– Maintain and grow a knowledge of competitor solutions and emerging applications, allowing identification and promotion of the unique selling points of our own solutions.
– Embrace new products and technologies as they emerge and ensure that they become a commercial and technical success.
– Attend and support on site events such as conferences and seminars, as well as working with marketing colleagues to increase brand awareness and produce new promotions, marketing and sales materials.

Person Specifications

Person Specification:
– Candidates should be University educated and have a strong understanding of chromatography, LC-MS/MS and quantitative or qualitative mass spectrometry
– Experience of selling capital equipment to industry and academia is advantageous but not essential
– Demonstrable deep understanding of the theory and practise of HPLC and UHPLC.
– Demonstrable understanding of Mass Spectrometry.
– Knowledge of MALDI mass spectrometry is useful, but not essential.
– Sound understanding of software systems.
