Role Overview
Summary:
Responsible for growing the Radleys business through product management, demand generation and brand development. Manage the marketing team.
Responsibilities
Product Management. Define Radley’s target segments. Understand the needs of current and prospective customers in those segments and manage the Radleys product portfolio to fit these requirements.
Product Marketing. Market the existing product portfolio and launch new products to market, ensuring that the sales team and distributors are fully informed and selling effectively.
Manage the Radleys web site and eCommerce platforms
Generate new business opportunities for Radleys products in target geographies to meet sales targets
Be the guardian of the Radleys brand, maintaining agreed visual and written standards, positioning and messaging.
Build and manage a high-performance marketing team
Accountabilities
Clear, accurate and fully communicated product plans, verified with customer feedback
Individual revenue and margins achieved by current products, take up rates, revenue growth and margins from new products.
Sales team and distributor product, market knowledge and ability to sell Radleys effectively
Web visits, dwell time and bounce rates from target customer segments.
Revenue and revenue growth via eCommerce.
Number of new UK leads identified, qualified and lead conversion rates., quoted and closed
Number of international/distributor leads identified, qualified and lead conversion rates.
Quality of working relationship with international distributors, keeping their support and also holding them to account.
Achievement of revenue and margin targets
Brand clarity and relevance, adherence to brand standards internally and throughout the distributor network.

Person Specifications
Person, Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a good record of achievement covering demand generation and product marketing, plus managing a team.
Previous experience as a product manager or product marketing manager
Good knowledge of chemical synthesis companies and the way they operate, ideally several years working in a major chemical synthesis company or major supplier to that industry.
High awareness of the contract research/development/manufacturing chemistry business
Ideally experience in a business that sells via independent distributors
Knowledge of current CRM and digital marketing systems, ideally Salesforce/Pardot, WordPress and Magento
Person, Skills
Degree level education in chemistry or a relevant alternative.
Formal business or marketing qualification
Organised and process based, good understanding of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
Entrepreneurial spirit, can do approach, happy to work in a smaller company environment, not seeking rules and structures to operate effectively.
Coaching and teaching mindset, able to motivate remote teams that do not have a direct reporting relationship
Formal business or marketing qualification
Other Criteria
Able to work effectively in business English
Able to travel internationally.
Hold current UK driving license
Live within commutable distance of Radleys office in Saffron Walden
