Our client’s range of feeds offer complete nutritional solutions for high performance and competition horses, racing, showing, breeding and leisure riding. They also cater for horses with additional needs, such as veterans, and those in need of everyday support such as higher fibre or weight management.
Role Requirements
Key responsibilities:
” To ensure that each category has a detailed 12-month activity plan that supports the organisational goals and delivers against expectations.
” Sustain an unsurpassed knowledge of the category. Responsible for market research and collating insights on the consumer to identify new business opportunities.
” Maintain and manage the company websites, ensuring each is kept up to date with content, product development and all sites have a detailed traffic acquisition plan.
” Deliver an e-mail and e-commerce strategy across categories.
” Prepare and present marketing updates for review meetings.
” To prioritise brand and business initiatives for the best interests of the organisation, maximising brand budgets to drive sales.
” To deliver brand specific KPIs based on commercial objectives and key brand metrics i.e. volume, value, distribution, ROS as well as consumer metrics.
” Responsible for all elements of the marketing mix
” Negotiating and liaising with third-party marketing agencies
” Managing the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites and brochures.
” Contribute to NPD, providing market insight and competitor activity information in support of the brand’s product plan
” Develop a detailed marketing plan for both UK & Export market in line with the brands growth aims
” To build collaborative working partnerships with the wider parent business, developing ways of working which complement existing practises and share expertise.
” Manage the brands portfolio of supported events
” Responsible for all brand PR
” To champion the D&H brand, developing the company’s profile, culture, values and reputation with colleagues, customers, suppliers, partners in the UK and abroad.

Measures of Success:
” Volume and value growth of brand/category year-on-year through the delivery of a 12-month activity plan.
” Manage brand investment to improve profitability whilst supporting brand growth.
” Increase traffic to brand websites. KPI’s such as bounce rate, sessions and new user also reviewed.
Person Specifications
Qualifications:
” Educated to degree level / graduate calibre
” A business or marketing degree is desirable
” CIM qualification is desirable
Experience required:
” High performing candidate with 2+ years of marketing and commercial experience.
” Proven track record in developing and delivering growth plans for premium brands.
” Clear demonstration of a passion and understanding of brand and brand building.
” Strong leadership and communication skills.
” Highly numerate with commercial thinking and a clear ability to present robust and compelling insight / direction.
” Capacity to switch easily between strategic and operational tasks, taking hands on responsibility for brands within the portfolio.
” Focussed on delivering results and both continuous personal and professional development.
” Gravitas to lead and inspire confidence in the wider business and customers.
