Mechanical Services Engineer
Role Overview
– Reporting to the Head of Mechnical Services, you will work with and support the Lead Engineer for all allocated projects (both installations and deinstallations).
– Provide support with the unloading of equipment, ensuring the appropriate packing and labelling from each project for storage in the company’s storage facility.

Role Requirements
– Support the successful delivery, deinstallation and installation of medical imaging equipment in line with agreed programmes and to customer requirements.
– Liaising with a range of stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met within agreed timescales.
– Ensuring the completion of appropriate paperwork, sourcing of equipment, arranging business travel and accomodation whilst working with colleagues across other areas of the business.
– Reporting to the Head of Mechnical Services, you will work with and support the Lead Engineer for all allocated projects (both installations and deinstallations).
– Provide support with the unloading of equipment, ensuring the appropriate packing and labelling from each project for storage in the company’s storage facility.
– Attending site project meetings and address all actions set.
– Undertake site surveys, to assess access/egress routes and the production of pre-project RAMS.
– When required, driving appropriate vehicles to support deinstallations after following company safety regulations i.e. inspection and cleaning of vehicle, completing travel logs and reporting accidents or delays.
Person Specifications
– An engineering/electrical qualification or evidence of relevant experience is essential.
– A working knowledge of medical imaging systems – X-ray, CT, MR, Ultrasound, C/V, Nuc Med (Desirable not essential).
– Candidates from a military/ex forces background will be considered.
– Enthusiastic, personable and motivated.
– Ability to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
– Experience with GPS navigation and mapping
N.B.
– There is a requirement for overnight stays and some weekend working. (The amount could vary from week to week).
– The role involves working out of different locations as required.
Package
– £35,000 to £45,000 dependent on experience. (40 hour working week).
