Principal Medical Writer
Role Overview
As a Principal Medical Writer, you will be responsible for producing expert quality medical and scientific materials based on cutting edge science. You will establish and maintain relationships with thought leaders, clients and internal teams, provide on-site support, writing and editing, competitor intelligence gathering, and review writing of junior team members. You will be looked on to provide scientific expertise across multiple therapeutic areas (internally and externally) and quickly develop expertise in new therapeutic areas.

Role Requirements
Writing grammatically and scientifically accurate documents, such as abstracts, posters, manuscripts, slides and monographs.
Reviewing colleagues’ work for both language and scientific content.
Managing and delivering projects, from publications and educational materials to advisory boards and symposia, on time and on budget.
Liaising directly with clients and opinion leaders.
Contributing to proposals, pitches and other business development activities.
Person Specifications
A bachelor’s degree (BSc or equivalent) in a biological or life science including, but not limited to biochemistry, genetics, human biology, immunology, neuroscience, pharmacology or physiology.
Ideally 1+ years’ medical writing experience as a Senior Medical Writer within a medical communications agency.
Curiosity about the application of science to healthcare and a demonstrable aptitude for and interest in written English, particularly science writing.
Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
