Product Manager
Role Overview
As a Product Manager, you will be at the heart of our product lifecycle management, driving product improvements, and aligning product development with our business strategy. You will be the voice of the customer, defining requirements and creating a go-to-market strategy that includes pricing, volume forecasts, early access programs, app notes, and marketing strategies. Your goal will be to ensure a successful ROI for product development while staying ahead of the competitive market landscape.

Role Requirements
– Manage the product lifecycle from NPI to end-of-life.
– Identify and prioritize product improvements.
– Translate business strategy needs into product development roadmaps.
– Act as the voice of the customer to define URS.
– Develop and implement go-to-market strategies.
– Represent the product in talks, webinars, and training sessions.
– Create marketing and sales tools for various stakeholders.
-Track KPIs to ensure successful ROI for product development.
– Conduct competitor analysis and SWOT analysis.
– Define core value propositions for our technology.
Working Hours:
– Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
Person Specifications
Key Requirements:
– Educational Background: MSc or PhD preferred, with a strong scientific background or direct PAT sensor experience.
– Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the biotechnology industry and bioprocessing solutions is beneficial.
– Experience: At least 2 years of product-related experience.
– Customer Focus: Clear sense of application and customer value creation.
– Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills.
– Writing Skills: Scientific writing skills are beneficial.
– Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
– Location Flexibility: Based in Aberystwyth with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office, or if UK wide, in the office twice a month for 2-3 days.
Desirable Qualities:
– Employee Ownership: An understanding of employee ownership and culture is a plus.
Package
Basic salary up to £60,000 dependent on experience
Relocation package if applicable – TBC (dependent on requirements)
Profit share paid twice a year, as a multiplier of monthly salary (in August 2023 it was 2.08 times our monthly salary, and in February 2024 0.90 times our monthly salary.)
20 days of annual leave – plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (approximately 5 extra days leave). The annual increases with service to 26 days.
Pension – colleagues pay 3% and ABER Instruments pays 8%
Company Shares – recieved twice a year (currently our share price is £6.26)
