Role Overview

As a Sales Account Manager, you are the representative of our clients brand to the customer. You operate as primary account management contact with customer account; with a focus to promote all products, increase customer loyalty, secure retention, drive value expansion and improve economic profitability.
You act as trusted partner to existing customers and manage and drive development of accounts according to strategic account plan.

PRODUCTS: HbA1c Testing portfolio and some immunossay tests
TERRITORY: South West UK up towards Birmingham with 3 days travel per week
CUSTOMERS: NHS & Private Clinical Laboratories

Role Requirements

– Promote and sell a portfolio of products and / or services and solution to existing and potential customers.
– Provides professional leadership in planning, organising, and controlling sales growth, continued account penetration, and customer satisfaction.
– Utilises strong product / market knowledge and sales experience to manage complex sales and resolve customer questions and concerns.
– Retains, extends, and acquires customers through effective identification of opportunities and the creation and implementation of solutions.
– Create, monitor and revise plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
– Meet or over achieve Company targets.
– Maintain positive relationships with existing customer base.
– Develop new relationships with prospective customers.
– Provide operational assistance when necessary to maintain business continuity.
– Cooperate with Technical Support and Marketing teams to monitor and achieve customer satisfaction.
– Manage the preparation of bids and tenders with particular emphasis on establishing the organisation’s trading terms and price proposals.
– Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, making recommendations to management.
– Keep management informed by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
– Competitive Mindset. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, etc.
– Build image and brand in eyes of customer.
– Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending designated training as and when required.
– Drives the sales process from approximately 2 years prior to tender.

Person Specifications

– Master or Bachelor of Science or equivalent
– Over a year of sales experience within the IVD market , laboratory background is a plus
– English: excellent knowledge (mother tongue level)
– Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
– MS Office, SAP (or equivalent)
– Drive for success and accomplishment
– Readiness to travel extensively with overnight stays as required
– Customer-orientation, flexibility and personal accountability
