Role Requirements
Essential Duties
– Respond to inbound sales inquiries.
– Qualify inbound opportunities with emphasis on developing relationships, expanding networks, and uncovering additional business opportunities.
– Maintain pipeline of active opportunities in CRM system. Record relevant activities, plan path to closure and report on opportunities during pipeline calls and other forecasting events.
– Prospect for new business through trade show attendance, field travel, and online networking.
– Expand network at key accounts in territory.
– In consultation with Sales Director, develop territory plan for meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
– Participate in training and process improvement initiatives.
– Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Person Specifications
– Life sciences degree, masters preferred.
– Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office, Teams and other common software platforms.
– Experience with NGS workflows, lab experience preferred.
– Sales experience in the life sciences market. Preferably with reagents and academic accounts. Will consider experience in a sales adjacent role such as marketing, sales engineering, product management, application specialist/scientist, etc.
– Strong communication and organizational skills.
– Ability to travel up to 50%.
