Scientific Support Specialist
Role Overview
We are working with one of the leaders in Specialities diagnostics. Within the role you will be working within the manufacturing team, assessing technical and practical aspects of existing purification strategies whilst driving process improvements throughout team to improve the quality and efficiency of product manufacturing
Furthermore you will analyse production equipment and drive improvements to equipment selection and process design to maximise the manufacturing performance. This will involve participating within the processes to ensure maximum development.
In this role, day-to-day you would:
Lead investigations, assessments and reviews of current purification manufacturing strategies.
· Lead and process data collection
· Drive improvements to yield and process performance in the current supply of intermediate protein reagents
· Drive improvements in technology to align with best-in-class industry standards.

Person Specifications
The person best suited for this role would be a driven individual striving to make improvements within manufacturing strategies. They would be innovative and immerse themselves within the team. A degree in Biochemistry or equivalent scientific subject is required. Additionally, the candidate must have significant experience in protein purification techniques. Experience of instrument integration to LIMS via middleware.
