Senior Biomedical Scientist

Are you a Band 6 / 7 Biomedical Scientist specialising in histopathology or cell pathology looking for an exciting new opportunity?

My client is an international diagnostics and genetic analysis business looking for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to be the Laboratory Lead in their Cellular Pathology laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills in biomedical science within a private laboratory.

What are my client looking for?
– a Band 6 / 7 Biomedical Scientist
– experience in cell pathology / histopathology
– IBMS / HCPC registered
– ideally some supervisory experience (not essential)
– commutable to Nottingham

What will you be doing?
– leading the laboratory activities to facilitate the provision of a high-quality cellular pathology service
– carrying out key histopathological techniques including immunohistochemistry, antibody lot testing and optimisation and HER2 fluorescent in-situ hybridisation (FISH)
– managing a small team of biomedical scientists in the lab and ensuring that targets are met and laboratory stocks and equipment are maintained
