Job Summary: Responsible for properly supporting the accounts in their area, by providing the hardware/software maintenance of products and/or associated peripheral equipment. Major responsibilities center on ensuring customer satisfaction and actively promoting all Field Service offerings. Understands HIPAA privacy issues and how it applies to his or her job in dealing with x-ray film and working inside a medical facility. The Senior Field Service Engineer prepares his / her own schedule with little no guidance from management.

Role Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintains regular communications with Service Contract accounts to provide prompt resolution to difficulties and to ensure customer satisfaction
· Responsible for the installation of assigned products, to include safety verification of electrical and environmental factors at customer site, testing of product to insure functional operation, verification of operating performance with customer, and review of the basic operational functions with the customer to meet our training obligation at installation
· Performs preventive maintenance and repair functions on assigned equipment
· Documents service calls, expenses and time reports on a daily basis and submit to office on a weekly basis according to established procedures. All documentation must be legible and neat
· Responsible for accurate parts inventory control, ordering and returning repairable spare parts components
· Ensures the service ready condition of service aids, tools and diagnostics
· Maintains close contact with office to meet all response time and uptime commitments (i.e. daily itinerary)
· Promotes all Field Service offerings (i.e. System Maintenance Agreements)
· Perform after hour’s on-call service as scheduled
· Installs engineering changes and/or software upgrades as required for the Contract Customers assigned
· Consistently seek and suggest methods to improve systems and processes within the organization. This includes reports on field failure trends, design limitation, etc. for product reliability improvements
· This position may require the individual to coordinate meetings with other field service engineers and sales representatives to discuss product problems or sales plans
Person Specifications
· Incumbent must possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
· Must have a minimum of five years of experience in medical image technology in a field service environment
· Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Requires strong interpersonal skills necessary to direct and support third party service technicians
· Must have effective customer service skills to negotiate satisfactory resolution to end-users at multiple levels (technicians, radiologists, physicists, and management)
· Experience should include team building through consensus and strong organizational skills
· Must have excellent photochemical, electromechanical, computer, and troubleshooting skills
· Must be computer literate, have excellent understanding of DOS and Windows operating systems
· High degree of independent functioning without direct supervision and with the ability to stay within guidelines provided
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Good organizational skills needed to handle multiple tasks with varying timetables
· Excellent problem-solving skills and a technical propensity
· High degree of self-motivation and creativity
· Demonstrated team building credentials and willingness to share expertise
· Demonstrated computer literacy
· Networking experience, i.e.: TCP/IP, FTP and Telenet knowledge preferred; preferably experience with UNIX or Windows operating system software
· Good understanding of field service and sales
· Ability to network internally/externally to resolve technical issues
· Able to work non-traditional work schedules involving late nights and occasional weekends
· Travel required – minimum 60%
Package
Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
