Role Overview

You will take increasing responsibility for the creation of high-quality scientific content across a wide range of platforms, and to different audiences. This will involve understanding scientific data and insights from our behavioural research to craft messaging that meets communication objectives.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Medical Writer at a creative full-service agency, with a clear focus on delivering evidence-based, sustained behavioural change work. The agency has a wide variety of clients in terms of size, scope and need.

Role Requirements

Scientific and medical writing- Writes, reviews, and edits promotional & non promotional medical and healthcare advertising content compliant to ABPI code of practice.
Produces work for both digital and print that is appropriate for the layout
Project management – Assists with the development of strategic and tactical plans for a range of deliverables, from a medical writing perspective
People management- Line management responsibilities for the junior team members, including setting and tracking goal, helping to develop their skills and experience
New business- Works with the cross-functional team to assist with writing new business pitches and proposals, and to develop opportunities for growing existing business

Person Specifications

• Science, medical or pharmacy Masters degree or ideally PhD in relevant discipline
• At least four years’ experience of writing and managing scientific content in an agency
environment
