Senior Medical Writer
Role Overview
There is a wide range of responsibilities for the role, you will be reporting into the Scientific Director. There is no line-management responsibilities however the company have a culture of supporting one another and you would take on more of a mentorship capacity with the other more junior writers on the team, offering support and guidance if needs be. You would also be client facing.
Content you would be producing:
· Digital work
· Slide Decs
· Abstracts
· Manuscripts
· Publications
· Develop commercial content for materials e.g., agendas, speaker briefs, slide decks, training materials, infographics, talking head scripts
· Prepare clinical trial manuscripts for publication and associated abstracts for congresses
· Lead on speaker briefings ensure KOLs understand their role and content to be delivered
· Check KOL slides are aligned with the briefing document and communicate clearly any
· Take briefs from clients and internal team members for new projects
Company Information
Our client are a bespoke medical education agency who propose, develop and deliver medical educational activities for pharmaceutical companies and they are looking for a Senior Medical writer to join their team!
The work they undertake comprises of content generation, digital and live events management and other content initiatives. They work across Cardiology, Oncology and Rare Diseases predominately.
Person Specifications
• Ability to work across a number of projects at any given time
• Familiarity with working across Microsoft Office and Adobe software
• Excellent English language and grammatical skills
• Good decision-making ability
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Good analytical/strategic skills
• Good mentoring skills
Essential
• Life science degree
• 2-3 years previous med comms/ pharmaceutical writing experience
• Experience of having prepared clinical trial manuscripts for publication and associated
abstracts for congresses
• Understanding of pharma company approval systems
• Understanding of ABPI code of conduct and how this affects marketing content for
pharmaceutical companies
