Role Overview
About the Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and supporting cutting-edge microscopy equipment across a variety of industries, including research establishments, universities, hospitals, and more. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Installation and Maintenance: Conducting installations, repairs, maintenance, and servicing of a variety of microscopes, primarily in the healthcare sector.
· Training and Support: Providing comprehensive training to end-users and customers during installations.
· Equipment Management: Decommissioning and recommissioning microscopes with precision.
· Customer Interaction: Liaising with the sales team to ensure exceptional service delivery.
· Travel: Traveling across the Midlands and North England to support customers on-site.
· Reporting: Completing service summaries and reporting issues to customers and HQ/Sales team.

What We’re Looking For:
· Skills and Experience: An electromechanical engineer with experience in laboratory, industrial, or educational environments.
· Personality: Diligent, personable, and communicative, capable of interacting with clients at all levels.
· Standards: Familiarity with ISO / UKAS standards is a bonus, though not essential.
· Flexibility: Adaptable to different working environments and flexible regarding working hours and travel.
