Service Engineering Manager
Role Overview
An exciting & rare opportunity to join an innovative scientific company in a hands on role involving instrumentation maintenance, servicing and repair onsite and at customer sites, as well as managing a team of 3 engineers.
The role split is around 30% travelling to customer sites and 70% at the office in Chesham.
Company Information
Life Science Instrumentation – the company specialise in robotic automation used for molecular diagnostic applications, including PCR testing, used in NHS laboratories.
Role Requirements
Manage the Service Engineering Team and ensure that they are fully trained and effective.
Manage maintenance and repair callout scheduling.
Work to ISO13485 standard
Carry out Service and Repair work at Customer sites as required.
Support and maintain in-house production equipment.
Lead projects to introduce and validate manufacturing equipment.
Person Specifications
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, demonstrable ability in instrumentation maintenance and repair as a Field Service Engineer within a similar industry.
BSc/BEng or equivalent qualification is preferred
Strong organizational, and time management skills
Interest in a position with a combination of hands-on work with leadership of a small team
Ability to teach others.
UK Driving Licence is essential.
