Technical Sales Representative
Role Overview
You will support the sales of products to instruments and equipment to laboratories across Ilinois.
Company Information
Zenopa is partnered with a company that is renowned for designing, producing, and marketing lab equipment and tools for assessing fuels, performing chemical reactions, and testing under pressure and heat.
They produce reactors and pressure vessels for a range of applications using both conventional designs and specially developed machinery. This pressure equipment is used in R&D and laboratories across the chemistry, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries.
Role Requirements
Communicate with potential customers to determine equipment requirements, construct quotations, and enter order information into the ERP system.
Communicate customer requirements to the engineering department for customized orders while maintaining appropriate records of correspondence.
Accept incoming customer calls regarding inquiries for new products, equipment troubleshooting, repair requests, order placement and order status requests.
Evaluate and independently respond to email inquiries from customers and dealers requesting new product information, operating manuals, pricing information, parts availability, order status, etc.
Support and mentor customer service representatives and build long term relationships with key customers, partners and dealers.
Person Specifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related Engineering/Technical field.
Sales and/or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
Consistent professionalism and ethical behavior.
Strong work ethic, proactivity, curiosity, and autonomy, pursuing internal development opportunities to drive long term success.
Desire and ability to develop relationships and participate in cross-functional teamwork between sales, engineering and production personnel.
