Role Overview
PRODUCTS: Life Science instruments and reagents – molecular biology and cell biology
TERRITORY: South West UK
CUSTOMERS: Academia and Commercial Accounts (including universities of Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter and Southampton)
As a Technical Sales Specialist you will be a key member of a team managing the South West Region to drive sales. This is a prime sales territory, comprising top academic research centres and many leading biotech companies who are looking to invest in the best new technologies.

Role Requirements
Responsibilities:
·Contributing significantly to the growth of this business.
·Utilising appropriate sales techniques to protect existing business and to drive new sales across the whole of their region primarily via direct face to face customer meetings or virtual meetings including Teams and other remote applications.
·Formulating strategies to increase sales and promote new and exciting products.
·Managing opportunity pipelines from initial enquiries to close of business across the full product range including reagents, instruments and biospecimens.
·Dealing with all in bound sales enquiries and ensure that these are dealt with in a timely manner.
·Engaging with company campaigns to promote products and services that are of key importance to the business
·Undertaking effective instrument demonstrations and installations.
·Ensuring all customer contacts, opportunities and other activities are logged into the customer system.
·Reporting to the Business Management team monthly, regarding high value opportunities for reagents, instruments and biospecimens.
·Engaging with all supplier and internal training courses including product training, sales training, and other administrative training courses.
Person Specifications
What we are looking for:
·An energetic and ambitious individual who has the drive to work as part of a team but also using their own initiative to build lasting relationships with customers and increase sales within their region.
·Life Science degree and laboratory experience.
·Scientific Sales Experience.
·Excellent communication skills: via telephone, email, video calls and in face-to-face meetings.
·Ability to plan, co-ordinate and implement activities effectively.
·Highly organised and takes responsibility for their own time management.
·Full driving licence.
