Technical Support Specialist
Role Overview
PRODUCTS: Immunology, Biochemistry, Infectious Diseases, Genetics, Point Of Care Testing, ELISA.
CUSTOMERS: Clinical and Research Laboratories
REPORTS TO: Technical Services Manager
The role is predominately office-based in Oxford, with around 20% travel across the UK to customer sites when required.

Role Requirements
– First line support to internal and external customers for pre and post sales technical enquiries by phone and email
– Logging of support cases on CRM, updating and maintaining accurate records
– Assist with the investigation, documentation and resolution of customer queries including liaison with relevant suppliers in a timely professional manner
– Maintain product training materials for in-house and for customer training
– Work alongside the Technical Specialist / Technical Services Manager to assist with demonstration of products, presentations and production of demonstration materials
– Travelling to customer sites as and when required
– To assist with installation of instruments and provide training to customers on the functionality of the instrument – on site & remotely
– To perform annual preventative maintenance visits on instruments – on site & remotely once singed off as competent
Person Specifications
– 2:1 or above in a life science degree and a minimum of 1 year laboratory experience
– IT competent in standard Microsoft office packages and confident with learning new software
– Trouble shooting skills, good at problem solving, logical thinking and strategic planning
– Passion for helping people and providing excellent customer service
– Ability to work efficiently, multi task and prioritize with accuracy and attention to detail
– Must be able to work independently using own initiative in addition to working as part of a team and contributing team projects / problem solving
