Our client has been manufacturing and supplying quality products for clinical microbiology for more than 60 years and has been developing instrumentation for clinical microbiology laboratories for over 25 years
Products include a dedicated analyser that aids diagnosis of clinically significant urinary tract infection along with recommendations for appropriate treatment. In addition, our client also supply and support specific third party dedicated analysers used within the clinical virology and biochemistry IVD market.
These systems have been installed in a number of large clinical laboratories and have generated significant interest necessitating the appointment of additional personnel to support the existing and future customers.
The technical support specialist offers technical and application support to customers instrumentation based in the UK and Internationally.
This work will include, but not be limited, to:
– Installations
– Equipment demonstrations
– Customer training and
– Participation in equipment trials
The technical support specialist will assist customers through a mixture of on-site visits and remote support.
Essential skills include the ability to analyse and resolve technical problems and demonstrate excellent practical skills working with computer hardware and software.
A comprehensive understanding of clinical diagnostic testing and analysis, together with at least two years’ practical experience of working in a clinical laboratory would be a distinct advantage, as would a good understanding of the use of laboratory computer (LIMS) systems.
