Role Overview
TERRITORY: Scotland (East)
PRODUCTS: Surgical Devices & Surgical Endoscopy
ROLE: To promote and sell high value medical devices and imaging equipment through engagement with both clinical, healthcare professionals and non-clinical decision makers while maintaining a strong focus on after-sales support.

Role Requirements
o Organising appointments and meetings with hospital stakeholders and clinical healthcare professionals
o Demonstrating and presenting medical device products to healthcare professionals in a live patient setting
o Adopt a consultative selling approach founded in evidence based outcomes for a product range which offers a compelling value proposition to secure customer interest and commitment
o Identification of all relevant stakeholders and influencers involved throughout the sales cycle
o Presenting pricing proposals and demonstrating the value of the equipment solution to all relevant decision makers (clinical and non-clinical)
o Maintaining a strong focus on after-sales support, including delivery of training and end-user support on medical devices in line with company and regulatory requirements
o Reviewing and analysing sales performance, including preparation of forecasting pipelines for submission to manager on a monthly basis
o Effectively manage the geographical demands of the territory through effective planning and utilisation of overnight hotel stays when required to meet customer requirements
o Maintaining meticulous records on company CRM system
o Undertaking relevant research on medical device area and competitors
o Meeting commercial and medical needs of healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders through all stages of the sales cycle
o Attending, organising and supporting conferences and meetings regionally and, on occasion, nationally
o Writing reports and completing / contributing to the submission of pricing proposals and tender documents
o Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in developing strong sales opportunities from both existing and new customers
o Collaborate closely with cross-divisional colleagues to promote wider Olympus solutions
o Be prepared to work evenings and weekends if required although this is not a regular occurrence.
Person Specifications
” Commercial awareness and business acumen
” Strong organisational skills
” Effective oral and written communication skills
” Sales skills with ability to adopt a consultative approach
” Ability to undertake business analysis and prioritise sales activity accordingly
” Strong self-organisation and planning skills
” Strong MS office skills including Word and Excel
” Clean driving licence
” Direct Sales experience (not essential in medical field)
” Educated to degree level preferred, ideally within a science or related discipline
” Ability to think under pressure and manage conflicting work priorities
” Strong interpersonal and communication skills
” Engaging, professional demeanour
” Managing the demands of covering a large geographical region and driving for significant distances
” Moving / transporting medical devices
Package
Bonus – uncapped. OTE £15,300
Car – company car from fleet or Car allowance (£565 pm)
Pension Scheme – Maxed and doubled up to 6% EE / 12% ER
