Role Overview

This role will develop knowledge, skills, and experience within medical devices through contributions to the on-site support function SMART Solutions Team as directed by the Head of Managed Service Operations or designated SMART Solutions Team Leader.

Through a variety of tasks and time spent working alongside our trained OES, customers, and wider teams, this will evolve and develop in complexity as the Trainee moves through their bespoke training programme with the aim of transitioning to an OES role or wider role within the company.

The completion of the training programme will typically take around 12 – 18 months to complete and will incorporate both on-site and off-site training objectives.

Role Requirements

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
– Commit to and take responsibility for your learning and progression through the OES Training Objective Plan system (TOPs) under the supervision of our Training Manager, Head of Managed Service Operations, and senior colleagues.
– In doing so, develop your ability to contribute to the support function of the On-site services team
– Organise your personal work diary, identifying tasks in order of priority based on urgency and importance.
– Use the company’s tools, systems and reports to establish, maintain and update accurate records of relevant information required to contribute to OES service and customer reports.
– As training and experience develops, take responsibility for on-site cover at a variety of locations as requested.
– Once certified, take responsibility for training customers on their equipment which includes all associated paperwork and processes.
– Attend, and contribute to Team and National Sales Meetings and training workshops.

General Duties:
– Carry out all company policies and procedures as per our approved quality guidelines.
– Attend training as required, and carry out studies to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
– Look after and be responsible for all company equipment (including documents) that is made available to you.
– Undertake such other duties assigned by the company which are reasonable in relation to the position of Trainee On-site Endoscopic Specialist.
– Carry out any ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Manager or for Business needs.

Person Specifications

Qualifications and required experience:
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), or equivalent through experience.
NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Healthcare, Nursing qualification (desirable)
2 years’ experience in a healthcare environment (desirable)

Skills, qualities, and attributes:
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to concentrate on tasks, think independently, use sound judgement, prioritise, make quick decisions and problem solve
Ability to communicate at all levels effectively and work independently on assignments
Polite and courteous manner regardless of the situation
Good English in verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Willingness to go the extra mile at busy times
Ability to work under own initiative

Technical skills:
IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and reporting systems.

Package

Job status – Permanent / Full Time ( 37.5hrs per week / Monday to Friday)
Salary – £27,000 p.a. (moving to £28,000 after probation)
Bonus – £1,000 p.a.
